As usual during my leisure time, the first thing I do is to browse the net. Browsing the net is not something so important but I stick to this internet for some reasons but surely not 100% on the social networking like Facebook. I admit that FB is a vital communication medium but I have something else to get from the net, something like I had on below.
Recently, I was unintentionally watching one of the children movie titled 'Eep!'. The catch of this movie for me is a very very tiny small sized little girl who played a unique character ; human with wings instead of arm so as she can fly and her size is as small as a bird. She is a birdy human girl. But I thought it was just in the movie plot but then again looking at the list of the actors, the girl is a real dwarf of human being in the real world.
“Kenadie Jourdin-Bromley, known around the world as “the littlest angel”, was born Feb.13, 2003, weighing just 2 lbs, 8 ounces.
She continued to defy doctors expectations and at the age of 8 months, Kenadie was finally diagnosed with primordial dwarfism, a genetic condition that is believed to affect only about 100 people in the world. She isn’t expected to grow past about 30 inches or weigh more than 8 pounds.”
But from the day Kenadie was born her parents, Brianne Jourdin and Court Bromley, refused to give up. As they say, "We loved life right into her."
Indeed, they did.
Nearing the age of four, Kenadie now walks, runs, laughs, smiles and is beginning to talk. But, perhaps more importantly, it's the way Kenadie makes people feel that is her strongest achievement. Those who come into contact with her invariably believe that they have been touched by God, that somehow this little angel has touched their soul.

Kenadie suffered from primordial dwarfism which is a type of dwarfism that involves tiny stature at all stages of life. More specifically, primordial dwarfes are profoundly proportional. It is caused by inheriting a mutant gene from both parents. Most are not diagnosed until they are 3 to 5. And since primordial dwarfism is so rare, many are misdiagnosed with malnutrition. However, primordial dwarfism has nothing to do with a growth hormone deficiency. As of yet there is no effective treatment for primordial dwarfism. Originally doctors said Kenadie wouldn't live more than a few days, today she is 8. For the past 8 years her story has swept the nation and captured the hearts' of many. She was featured on TLC's ''Growing Up Tiny: Kenadie's Story'' and on Good Morning America. Slowly but surely helping to spread awareness of this difficult and debilitating disorder.
In January 2008, it was published that mutations in the pericentrin gene (PCNT) were found to cause primordial dwarfism. Pericentrin has a role in cell division, proper chromosome segregation, and cytokinesis.
Types of Primordial Dwarfism
-Seckel Syndrome: Their bodies are brittle and aged, suffer from microcephaly and hip displaysia as well as seizures in some cases.
-Osteodysplastic Primordial Dwarfism, Type I
: The corpus callosum is often underdeveloped. Thin hair is also common in eyelashes, eyebrows, and scalp. Microcephaly is often present.
-Osteodysplastic Primordial Dwarfism, Type II
: arguably the worst and most complex form of primordial dwarfism. They face challenges such as microdontia, microcephaly, farsightedness, brain aneuryisms, scoliosis, mental retardation etc.
-Russel-Silver Syndrome: the tallest of the primoridal dwarfs.
-Meier Gorlin Syndrome: They have small ears and no knee caps. One of the taller types of primoridial dwarfism. Often called ''ear, patella, short stature syndrome''.
So, these are some useful informations I've obtained from my browsing and reading for us to enhance our knowledge. It has been said that there are an estimated 100 primordial dwarfs in the world. For more information, again I share the link for more details on this abnormality for our reading pleasure. Happy day!
