Golden Churn butter non halal

About almost 2 months ago, we have been shocked about the issue of this Golden Churn butter claims contained non-halal ingredient by JAKIM (Jabatan Agama dan Kementerian Islam Malaysia) due to incident non halal coffee served by one of the coffee shop in Johore. It was a few weeks before I took cookies order for my non muslim friends for Gawai celebration.  Since that, I stopped consuming Golden Churn butter for it confirmed not halal for Muslims.


But, a month later, another news said that it came back halal as it tested through laboratory investigation confirmed not having any non halal substances.  As this news giving another havoc issues since the past two weeks that the butter turned not halal again where I believed some consumers have bought the stock for Hari Raya cakes and cookies. And this morning was the final decision that Berita Harian has reported that Golden Churn butter is non halal and containing certain of ham DNA.

For those who familiar with the variety, colourful and delicious Sarawak Layer cake, some of us baked our cake using this butter. The texture of the cakes as you can see, it fancied with many colour, when you touch the slice of it, you can feel the moisture and the creamy taste when it lands into your mouth.  That's why, as a Sarawakian this is our legend and pride because no other places that you can find just as nice as it unless you are staying at somewhere on earth with the expertise of this cake makers. 

Due to this announcement, it seems that I should stick for not using this butter until there is a crystal clear confirmation from the religious ministry that the butter not having non halal ingredient at all and that safe to be used for food preparation.
